Electrical Engineering —
- AI Data Trainer
About The Role
We're looking for electrical engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models being developed with the world's leading AI research labs. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to control systems to signal processing.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule and work as much or as little as fits your life.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems —
- Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to probe and stress-test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions —
- Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and reasoning
- Audit Technical Accuracy —
- Review AI-generated outputs including code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
- Sharpen AI Reasoning —
- Identify logical gaps or failures in AI responses and provide structured feedback to improve how models think through engineering problems
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Solid foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
- Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
- Detail-oriented — comfortable checking mathematical derivations, circuit logic, and technical documentation for accuracy
- No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
- Background spanning multiple EE subfields
Why Join Us
- Work on some of the most advanced AI models being built today
- Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule from anywhere
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global expert community
- Meaningful impact — your expertise directly improves how AI handles real engineering reasoning
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
