Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer and engineering firm specialising in industrial mechanical product on both small and large scale. With a reputation for quality and innovation, we work with several levels and segments of business in our industry, including but not limited to Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction companies, building and engineering consultants, O.E.M.’s, electrical contractors etc. Our product is bespoke and is supplied to key industry sectors such as the mining, oil and gas, health care, data centre and power and water utilities sectors.

They are part of a global business with it headquarters based in the US, and the APAC head office based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We are experiencing rapid growth due to a change in regulatory compliance in the industry sector we service and we expect this growth to continue, hence the need for an Electrical Engineering Manager to be appointed.

About the Role

They are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our electrical engineering team in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. This leadership role combines technical expertise with people management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and designers.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through design, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients,



contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, quality, and innovation.
- Support business development activities by providing technical expertise and preparing engineering proposals.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.

About You

You are a mentoring leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering practical engineering solutions. You enjoy developing high-performing teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer registration or eligibility (preferred).
- 8+ years' experience in electrical engineering, including leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, power systems, protection, control systems, PLC programming, and relevant industry standards.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software and design tools.
- Control Panel Design and assembly experience.
