About The Role

Band 5 role - starting salary $130,000 + Super. Final salary offering to be negotiated with the preferred candidate based on their skills and experience.

We are seeking a passionate Environment and Sustainability Specialist to support the business with expert advice, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to the development of a progressive environmental sustainability culture.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely, reliable and risk-based environmental advice and support services across the business. You will help underpin our Environmental Management System (EMS) with a suite of fit-for-purpose resources, focusing on building and embedding long-term environmental and sustainability capacity within the business.

As part of TasNetworks’ broader cultural framework, you will influence an environmental sustainability mindset across the business, responding to environmental incidents (and supporting investigations where required), monitoring adherence to various plans and performance, ensuring reporting requirements are accurate and timely.

About You

You will join a team that values and understands environmental regulations and sustainability standards, where you will bring your demonstrated knowledge and experience in this area, coupled with a tertiary qualification in environmental management (or equivalent).

You will hold your own personal commitment to the environment, with proven experience in continuous improvement in environmental management and sustainability outcomes.





Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, in a dynamic and changing setting, will be essential for success.

You will highlight a proactive and risk-based approach to decision making, with excellent interpersonal and effective relationship building skills within a similar sized organisation.

Your ability to influence a positive sustainability culture, ensuring a strong customer focus whilst adapting during times of change will see you succeed in this role.
