Environmental Advisor, BHTSP - Rockhampton Region

We are currently tendering for works in the Rockhampton Region and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Environmental Officers / Advisors / Consultantswith experiencein the road construction / maintenance industry interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignment for a period of 1 - 2 years with a possibility of extensions and other projects into the future.

Key Responsibilities

- The provision of timely, efficient, consistent, innovative and compliant workplace services to avoid unnecessary delays to construction programs.
- Managing resources and funds to meet the needs of the program.
- Ensuring the program achieves compliance with legislation and internal processes while identifying areas for improvement to processes and procedures that could result in better program deliverables.

Mandatory Requirements

- A Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering or an equivalent qualification;




- 2-3 years’ relevant industry experienceon green or brownfield infrastructure construction projects, with at least a year of that working directly or indirectly on TMR Roads Infrastructure Projects, alternatively with councils or other Australian Road Authorities;
- Demonstrated experience in desktop and field surveillance and monitoring, data collection, collation and analysis;
- Planning, conducting and closing out of field audits described in Environmental Management Plans to Australian industry standards.

Previous working experience in erosion and sediment control on linear transport infrastructure projects, and be familiar with the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) Best Practice Erosion and Sediment Control and the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection Standard Work Method Statement for the Assessment of Lawful Release
