The Role An opportunity has become available for a Fellow (Bariatric and General Surgery) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-solid team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Manage Acute admission, Inpatient care, Outpatients clinical, inter-disciplinary consultant and clinical handover

Advocate for the patient which includes protecting the patient, being the patient's voice and provision of quality care

Participate in the supervision, training and professional development of Junior medical staff

Work within and support the multi-disciplinary clinical team

About you To be successful in this position you will require:

Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

AHPRA Registration

Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in general surgery (or equivalent overseas qualification) and be eligible for medical registration in Australia

Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B

Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required

Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Temporary part time (up to 12 months, 60 hours per fortnight)

Base salary ranging from $88.41 - $97.43 per hour
