Our client is a well-established, family-owned business operating within a project-driven manufacturing workplace and entering an exciting phase of growth and professionalisation.
Partnering closely with an experienced Fractional CFO, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while contributing to strategic initiatives that support the company's ongoing evolution. It is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to broaden their leadership capability and influence business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, month-end, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
- Manage financial controls, cash flow, and management reporting
- Drive process and systems improvements
- Support project/job costing, WIP, and margin analysis
- Partner with operational leaders to provide commercial insights
Profile
- Degree qualified and CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
- Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, month-end processes, and financial controls.
- Experience with product, project, or job costing, ideally including work-in-progress (WIP) and margin analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to improve finance systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on setting while partnering with senior leadership.
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, engineering, building products, or another project-based industry will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to QBCC regulations and family-owned businesses will be advantageous.
