About the Role: Somage has an exciting opportunity for a caring and motivated Beverages Blender & Packer to join our team based in Cheltenham, Victoria. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be a crucial member of our production team.

This is a hands-on role and prime responsibilities include operating a variety of automated and semi-automated equipment, manual packing and batching and achieving daily production targets. The role involves blending materials, preparing products, and packing finished items while performing manual tasks in an active production setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Measuring and blending ingredients according to instructions
- Operating mixing and blending equipment




- Packing finished products into containers or boxes
- Labelling products
- Setting up, operating, and monitoring machines during production
- Organising materials for processing and packaging
- Cleaning production equipment and work areas according to procedures
- Identifying and reporting equipment faults and assisting with preventative maintenance
- Working on various production lines as required
- Following HACCP and GMP food safety practices

Requirements

- Ability to perform manual work and heavy lifting
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- High personal hygiene and quality standards
- Good communication skills

Preferred Experience

- Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with equipment such as bagging machines, mixers, case packers, multi-head weighing equipment, or ribbon blenders
