Groups by Beyond is looking for an experienced Group Travel Consultant to manage the end-to-end delivery of group tours for travel agents and direct clients around the world.
This is a client and operations-focused role for someone who loves the details of putting a great group tour together - from first enquiry and quote, through supplier negotiation, to smooth departure. You'll be the main point of contact for your clients, ensuring every group trip is well-planned, competitively priced, and delivered without a hitch.
You'll report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in the smooth-running of Group by Beyond’s group travel program.
What You'll Be Doing
Quoting & Itinerary Management
- Manage the end-to-end quote and booking process for group tours
- Respond to and manage enquiries
- Put together accurate, well-priced itineraries and proposals
Client & Enquiry Management
- Track, follow up, and manage all leads and enquiries through to confirmed booking
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in the CRM
- Communicate with clients primarily via phone and email to secure and manage bookings
- Deliver a high standard of service that drives repeat business and referrals
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients
Supplier & Operational Management
- Negotiate group rates, inventory, specials, and exclusives with suppliers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners
- Follow agreed sales and operational processes and systems
Industry & Team Contribution
- Participating in internal company meetings
- Stay across industry trends and competitor activity
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless client experience
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Experience creating and managing group tours, ideally in the Australian/NZ travel industry
- Strong communication skills and sharp attention to detail
- A track record in account management and client relationship management
- Confident negotiation skills with suppliers
- Self-motivated, and engaged with a genuine passion for travel and customer service
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM tools; experience with TourPlan a bonus
- Destination knowledge in Eastern Europe and/or Scandinavia highly regarded
