Thinkerbell is looking for an amazing Head Earned Thinker (Group Account Director - PR) to join our team of Thinkers and Tinkers in Melbourne.

HOW YOU’LL CREATE MEASURED MAGIC

So, what the hell is a Thinker? We’re glad you asked. A Thinker is a strategy-account-servicey type of person who often comes from a background of adland, or media agency, or brand strategy, or earned, or from the coffee shop down the road, but is really really smart. They ask a lot of questions and listen very carefully for the answers.

They’re problem solvers and punctual, and know how to drive business results. They can manage processes and are business minded and they know how to get s**t done.

THE TASK AT HAND A Head Earned Thinker is a cross between publicity- types, strategy-types and suity-types; you ask a lot of questions, listen very carefully for the answers and are always on the pulse of the local and global news cycle. You are a leader within the agency and the wider Australian marketing landscape, promoting Thinkerbell’s earned-led offering and its day to day function, with a big focus on driving business outcomes for your clients utilising the power of earned media. You know how to get under the skin of your clients and be a mentor for Earned Thinkers and Lead Earned Thinkers, driving them to develop ideas and campaigns that solve business problems with creativity, whilst promoting the agency’s industry-leading earned offering.

You'll have three big things to do:

1.ON THE PULSE OF NEWS AND CULTURE

You’re ahead of the news cycle and stay up to date with macro conversations in culture and cultural shifts in subcultures, as well as pop culture and what’s trending. You understand how to leverage these moments for brand partners, guide and provide direction to your squads, and know how to best weigh into the conversation to generate earned outcomes for your clients.

2.CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP

You partner with your Core Tinker to bring big, awesome, scary ideas to life in earned. You know what a big idea is,



how it looks and behaves and more importantly, how to bring it to life in the news cycle.

3.INTEGRATION AND COLLABORATION

We don’t do silos at Thinkerbell, which means you’ll be expected to think outside your craft (earned media). We want to hear your creative ideas, we’ll want you to bring a Paid Thinker into an Earned project if it’s the right thing to do and foster this mindset across the squads you lead. You’ll take a cooperative mindset into everything you do, never solving a problem in isolation and integration will be your middle name, smashing down silos right alongside us.

We are an agency of Thinkers and Tinkers and have extensive experience in the worlds of media (paid, owned, earned, and shared), research, strategy, CX and creative execution. The Institute of Measured Magic is our training and development program where we keep brains sticky with internal and external tailored training throughout the year. We kick off every week with Measured Mondays, our all agency, super-wip and finish every Friday at 4pm with Magic Hour, where we get creative and weird together.

AND on top of your regular leave, everyone also gets a Mind Expansion Project per year, up to 5 consecutive days of extra leave per year for you to expand your mind and explore something new (that is something you wouldn’t normally do and something you’ve never done before), and then share back your experience with the agency.
