Fantastic chance to lead the Corporate FP&A; function for a high-profile private company in the infrastructure sector

- Established function, established team - take it to the next level
- Group consolidation, funds P&L; and executive partnering
- Direct line to the GM Finance, long term incentive on offer

Overview A Sydney-headquartered business that owns and manages large-scale assets is hiring a Head of Corporate FP&A.; The function is established and running well. What's changed is the scale and complexity of what sits underneath it, and the GM Finance wants a senior leader who can take the capability to the next level as the group keeps growing.

The remit covers the corporate side of the house. Group consolidation and reporting, the funds management P&L; including fee structures and how they flow through, the corporate cost base, budgeting and forecasting, and scenario analysis for a business where the strategic questions are genuinely interesting and move quickly.

You'd also lead an established team. There's real capability there already, and the expectation is that you'll develop it further. Stretching people, lifting the technical and commercial bar, and building the kind of bench that senior stakeholders ask for by name.

The part that will truly define the role is the partnering. You'd sit with each of the executives on their corporate P&Ls;, and the ambition is for finance to be the function they call before they make the decision,

not the one that tells them afterwards what it cost. That relationship is already good. The opportunity is to make it central.

There's also scope to get closer to the deal side of the business over time, for someone who wants it. The role sits near enough to that activity to inform it, and that's a natural direction for it to grow.

Who this suits

CA or CPA qualified, with strong corporate FP&A; and group reporting behind you. Consolidation across multiple entities and structures should be familiar territory.

Exposure to funds management, trust structures, fee income or asset management economics. You don't need to have run it, but you need to pick it up quickly and speak credibly about it.

A track record leading and developing high performing finance teams. Not just managing the workload but genuinely bringing people on and getting more out of them than the previous manager did.

The confidence to hold your own with executives who are commercially sharp and busy. This works if people want you in the room.

What's on offer A strong package including base, short term incentive and a long term incentive plan, set at a level that reflects how seriously the business is taking this hire.

Direct line to the GM Finance and regular exposure to the executive team.

Sydney with hybrid working, and a business with plenty ahead of it.
