Lead Adica's Data Transformation

At Adica Insurance, we're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Data to lead our enterprise data strategy, governance, engineering and reporting capabilities while helping shape the organisation's future data and analytics capability.

This is a unique opportunity to influence executive decision-making, drive innovation and unlock the value of data and emerging technologies to deliver better business outcomes and customer experiences. As a key member of the Data & Portfolio Leadership Team, you'll influence enterprise priorities, shape strategic investment decisions and build the data capabilities that will support Adica's next phase of growth, transformation and innovation.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Actuary & Portfolio Officer, the Head of Data is a key member of the Data & Portfolio Leadership Team, responsible for shaping how data enables strategic decision-making, business performance and customer outcomes.

You'll lead Adica's enterprise data strategy, governance, engineering and reporting capabilities while helping shape the organisation's approach to emerging technologies. Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll drive innovation, strengthen decision-making and build the capabilities required to support Adica's continued growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities include

- Defining and delivering Adica's enterprise data strategy.
- Leading data governance, quality and information management practices across the organisation.
- Owning and evolving Adica's Microsoft Fabric platform, enterprise reporting capability and data architecture.
- Identifying opportunities to leverage data, automation and emerging technologies to create business value and improve customer outcomes.
- Partnering with Technology, Actuarial and business leaders to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Building and leading a high-performing team while fostering a solid data culture across the organisation.
- Ensuring data assets are secure, compliant and trusted across the organisation.

What You'll Bring





You are an accomplished data leader with a track record of developing enterprise data capabilities that drive business performance, enable strategic decision-making and support organisational transformation.

Combining strategic vision with strong technical expertise, you're equally comfortable shaping long-term strategy, influencing senior stakeholders and leading high-performing teams. You bring a pragmatic approach to balancing governance, innovation and commercial outcomes, while fostering a culture where data is trusted, accessible and valued across the organisation.

You are passionate about building modern data capabilities, developing high-performing teams and partnering with the business to turn data into a strategic advantage.

- Demonstrated success leading enterprise Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence or Information Management functions.
- Experience defining and executing data strategies that deliver measurable business value.
- Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, reporting, business intelligence and modern data platforms.
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure and contemporary cloud-based data environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing capability, with the ability to partner effectively across business and technology functions.
- A track record of building, leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate complex data concepts into meaningful business outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Experience within insurance, financial services or other regulated industries, along with exposure to enterprise data transformation, advanced analytics and emerging technologies, will be highly regarded.
