About the Role

We are seeking a Health Promotion Officer to support culturally safe cancer prevention, screening, early detection, and health education initiatives across the Ipswich and West Moreton region.

Working closely with community members, internal teams, health professionals, and external stakeholders, this role will help plan, coordinate, deliver,



monitor, and evaluate health promotion activities that improve awareness of cancer prevention and support greater participation in screening and follow-up care.

This position will suit someone with experience in health promotion, community engagement, public health, program coordination, or community education who is passionate about improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through culturally safe, community-led practice.

The Role The Health Promotion Officer will play an important role in delivering culturally secure, evidence-based cancer health promotion initiatives that increase community awareness of prevention, early detection, screening, and available support pathways.
