About the role

AZ Mobile Heavy Mechanical Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in 75 Stradbroke street, Heathwood QLD, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy diesel vehicles and equipment. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our fleet of heavy vehicles operates at peak performance and meets all safety and regulatory standards.

Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our clients' assets.

What you'll be doing

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in heavy diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical components

- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups

- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify wear, damage, and potential safety issues

- Replace and repair worn or damaged parts including brakes, suspension systems, and hydraulic components

- Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems

- Maintain accurate records of all servicing and repair work completed

- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and industry standards

- Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair requirements and timelines

- Collaborate with team members to meet service schedules and project deadlines

What we're looking for

- A recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification or equivalent trade certification

- Have knowledge working on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, transmissions, and hydraulic systems

- Proficiency with mechanical and diagnostic tools specific to heavy vehicle maintenance




- A solid understanding of vehicle safety standards and compliance requirements

- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Robust communication and teamwork skills
- A current, valid driver's licence

- Reliability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Some experience in mobile servicing or on-site repairs is highly desirable
