About Us
Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role
Rosebank College invites applications for the position of ICT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer to join our ICT team in a permanent full-time position working 48 weeks per year.
The successful applicant will commence as soon as possible and will work closely with the Director of ICT and ICT Operations Manager to execute agreed ICT priorities,
operational activities and projects across the College.
This is a hands-on senior technical role responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of the College’s core ICT infrastructure and systems.
The role has a particular focus on servers, networks, cloud services, cybersecurity, identity and access management, endpoint and device management, backup and recovery, telephony and Audio-Visual infrastructure.
The ICT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer will also work closely with the ICT Operations Manager and ICT Help Desk to support effective day-to-day service delivery. The role will provide senior technical assistance for complex incidents and escalations and provide operational support to the Help Desk when required.
The successful applicant will contribute technical expertise to ICT projects from planning and design through to implementation, testing, documentation and handover, while identifying opportunities to continually improve the security, reliability, resilience and efficiency of the College’s technology environment.
The position requires someone who is technically capable, solutions-focused and able to work collaboratively within a busy educational environment where reliable technology directly supports teaching, learning and College operations.

About You The successful applicant will be an experienced ICT professional who combines strong technical capability with a collaborative, proactive and service-focused approach.
You will be comfortable working across infrastructure and systems while also contributing to day-to-day ICT operations, projects and technical support.
To be considered for this position, applicants should demonstrate:
- Solid experience administering and supporting ICT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, wired and wireless networks, firewalls, DHCP, DNS and associated services.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, identity and access management, cloud services, and endpoint management via Intune.
- Sound knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, backup, recovery and disaster recovery practices.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure and systems issues and act as a senior escalation point for the ICT Help Desk.
- Experience contributing to ICT infrastructure projects,
technology evaluations and the implementation of new or improved systems and services.
- Ability to monitor infrastructure performance, manage updates and lifecycle requirements, and maintain accurate technical and operational documentation.
- Experience managing ICT assets, software licensing and working with external vendors and technical support partners.
- Strong organisational skills, sound technical judgment and the ability to manage competing operational and project priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the Director of ICT, ICT Operations Manager, ICT team and wider College community.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, professional learning and contemporary ICT practices.
- A current Working with Children Check and commitment to child safeguarding principles and practices.
- Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition of the College and contribute positively to College life.
- Relevant Tertiary education and/or industry-recognised certifications commensurate with experience
Experience working within a school, education or similarly complex service environment would be highly regarded.
