Profectus is inviting expressions of interest from Multi-Domain Interoperability Engineers for likely upcoming work integrating systems and networks that operate across differing security classifications within Australian Government environments. We are seeking engineers who can design, implement and support secure cross-domain integration and data exchange to a high standard in structured, well-governed settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support cross-domain integration between systems and networks operating at differing classifications
- Configure and maintain gateways, guards, data diodes and cross-domain solutions for secure information exchange
- Develop and manage secure data exchange, transfer and content inspection mechanisms
- Define and document interfaces, data flows and interoperability patterns across domains
- Implement boundary protection and controlled information exchange aligned to security policy
- Integrate systems using APIs, message brokers and standard data formats
- Support accreditation activities for cross-domain and boundary systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex interoperability and connectivity issues
- Align solutions to security frameworks such as the ISM and Essential Eight
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, interface control documents and configuration baselines
- Collaborate with engineering, security and accreditation teams to deliver compliant solutions
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience integrating systems and networks operating across differing security classifications or domains
- Experience with cross-domain solutions, gateways, guards or data diode technologies
- Strong understanding of secure data exchange, boundary protection and controlled information transfer
- Experience defining interfaces, data flows and interoperability patterns
- Experience integrating systems using APIs, message brokers and common data formats
- Understanding of network protocols, routing and secure connectivity
- Experience supporting accreditation and compliance in secure environments
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as the ISM and Essential Eight
- Solid documentation skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Experience with specific cross-domain solution products and content filtering technologies
- Experience delivering within Australian Government environments
- Experience with secure network design and segmentation
- Relevant networking or security certifications
- Experience supporting IRAP assessment or system accreditation
Security Clearance Requirement
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must have an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)
- Must be willing to obtain an AGSVA NV2 Security Clearance
