Role DescriptionWe are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented IT Application Operations Specialist to support the stability, availability, performance, and continuous operation of business applications and enterprise systems. This role is responsible for monitoring applications, responding to incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating system maintenance, and ensuring that critical applications remain reliable and accessible to users.

The successful candidate will monitor application performance, system availability, transaction processing, integrations, interfaces, and scheduled jobs across production environments. You will proactively identify abnormal system behavior, investigate alerts, analyze application logs, and coordinate appropriate actions to minimize service disruptions and maintain operational continuity.

The role involves providing application support to internal users and business teams by investigating incidents, service requests, system errors, access issues, data inconsistencies, and application-related problems. You will assess reported issues, perform initial troubleshooting, document findings, and escalate complex technical problems to development, infrastructure, database, security, or external support teams when required.

You will manage application incidents, problems, service requests, and operational tasks through IT service management platforms. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate ticket records, prioritizing issues according to business impact, monitoring resolution progress, communicating status updates, and ensuring incidents are properly resolved and documented.

The position requires coordinating application deployments, patches, upgrades, configuration changes, maintenance activities, and system releases. You will work closely with software development, DevOps, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, vendors, and business teams to ensure changes are properly planned, tested, documented, approved, and implemented with minimal operational disruption.

You will support application availability and performance by reviewing system metrics, analyzing logs, monitoring interfaces, identifying recurring issues,



and recommending improvements. Responsibilities include assisting with root cause analysis, developing preventive measures, maintaining operational procedures, and contributing to application reliability and service improvement initiatives.

The role also involves supporting data and system integrations between enterprise applications, APIs, databases, third-party platforms, and internal systems. You will monitor data flows, investigate integration failures, validate transactions, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure accurate and reliable information exchange.

You will maintain technical documentation including application support procedures, system configurations, troubleshooting guides, operational runbooks, recovery procedures, and knowledge base articles. The role requires following established IT governance, information security, data protection, change management, and business continuity requirements.

You will contribute to automation and operational efficiency by identifying repetitive tasks and implementing monitoring, scripting, workflow automation, and AI-assisted support solutions where appropriate. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, communication skills, and a proactive approach are essential for maintaining reliable application operations and delivering effective technical support.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of IT application operations, enterprise application support, system monitoring, and IT service management principles.
- Knowledge of application troubleshooting, incident management, problem management, change management, and service request processes.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles, service management frameworks, and operational governance practices.
- Understanding of application servers, databases, APIs, system integrations,



batch processing, scheduled jobs, and enterprise software environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting tools, system monitoring platforms, log analysis tools, ticketing systems, and IT service management applications.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases for basic data validation, investigation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies is advantageous.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, virtualization, networking fundamentals, APIs, and contemporary application infrastructure.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, application deployment processes, and version control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical issues and identify root causes.
