An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Junior School Teacher (Prep to Year 4) to join our College community on a full time, fixed term basis. This role will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2027 and will conclude at the end of the 2027 school year.
Reporting into the Head of Junior School, this role will be responsible for preparing and executing well-planned, academically rich, and innovative lessons, aligned to the Australian Curriculum and the IB PYP framework, in a collaborative and progressive primary setting.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Education.
- Current VIT Registration.
- A current knowledge of the Australian Primary Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) framework (preferred).
- Previous experience teaching across years Prep to Year 4 in a Primary Independent School setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning.
- Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Be an active contributor to a collegial work setting.
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
