Heat and Control is seeking a pragmatic legal professional to join our Mount Gravatt East office. Whether you are transitioning from private practice or building on in-house experience, you will be instrumental in driving legal strategies that support business growth and operational success.

About the Role

Reporting to the Legal and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing and advising on legal risks in contracts and other commercial dealings to ensure regulatory compliance in a global manufacturing business. You will be required to propose, develop, and maintain compliance with risk management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Research, review, and interpret legislation and case law to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Draft and review non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents as required.
- Draft legal advice regarding gaps in compliance.
- Review and draft privacy and other internal policies to align with internal regulatory requirements.
- Research and provide advice on areas of law as required (e.g., privacy and data protection law, workplace law, trade law, contract law, tort law, and corporations law).
- Discuss and engage with stakeholders and agents of the business regarding legal and compliance matters.

About You To be successful you will have:

- Bachelor of Law.
- A proven record, and a very strong ability, to analyse and evaluate a broad range of legal and compliance risks across various regulatory regimes that impact a global manufacturing business.
- Background in contract review,



including procurement contracts, sales contracts and confidentiality agreements.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies for global operations.
- Prior experience in a global manufacturing organisation is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated legal problem-solving skills and the ability to engage in intellectual group discussions in a mature and objective way.
