Harmony Australasia is seeking an experienced Manager of Construction to provide specialist construction management leadership to support our Major Projects delivery across the portfolio. Supporting mining operations across Australia and Papua New Guinea, this pivotal role will help ensure our projects are planned, governed and executed safely, effectively and in line with schedule, cost, quality and regulatory requirements.

Roster

- Full-time roster of 5 days on / 2 days off (Monday to Friday) based at our Milton office
- Flexible working arrangements, including up to 2 days per week working from home
- This role will require domestic and international travel across our sites in Australasia

Responsibilities Reporting to the Group Manager –

- Operations and Projects, you will work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, HSEC and operations teams to support safe construction planning, constructability reviews, contractor mobilisation, construction governance, quality assurance and operational interface planning. You will play a key role in embedding effective construction management systems and driving a strong zero-harm culture across diverse work fronts, whilst upholding / living our Harmony Values.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Leading construction management planning, governance and reporting across a Major Projects portfolio.
- Lead the implementation of best practice Construction systems and processes that drive safe, efficient and high quality project delivery.
- Play a key role in Safety-in-Design, pre-construction hazard assessments, constructability reviews and risk assessments.
- Provide key inputs into construction contract formation, tendering, award and management
- Provide key inputs into Project Controls baselines underpinning Execution Plans / Works (Schedule, Cost, Risk)
- Managing construction contracts to agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality and performance expectations.
- Partnering with engineering, procurement, HSEC and operations teams to plan and execute site works safely.
- Embedding contractor mobilisation, onboarding, permitting, QA/QC and document control processes in all key project documents / contractual engagements incl. supporting
- Construction Supervision team with delivering on execution responsibilities.
- Conducting construction quality, HSE audits, inspections and safety leadership activities.




- Coaching internal and external stakeholders in construction management systems, processes and best practice.
- Coordinate operational walk downs with Project Owner / Operational stakeholders incl. Pre-Shut Planning preparation / coordination support
- Provide overall management / oversight of Operational Readiness Plan and execution incl. Management of Change requirements.
- Provide input into Commissioning planning and ensure safe execution aligned with the HGM Commissioning Management Framework.
- Participate in project debriefs to capture performance insights, lessons learned and improvement actions.
- Conduct regular VFSLs, safety inspections and audits across construction work fronts.
- Act as a Safety Ambassador, modelling HGM values and driving a culture of zero harm and safe quality outcomes.

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualifications / Trade in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent; and Construction related certifications.
- Significant experience in Resources and/or Heavy Industries, with demonstrated roles in Construction Management / Leadership capacity.
- A background in Civil / Concrete, Plant &
- Infrastructure Construction including Tailings Dams and Roadworks are well regarded.
- High degree of Construction Management / Leadership capability, including discipline around Risk and Change Management.
- Experience constructing key facilities with significant Design, Regulatory-constraint interfaces within a brownfields operating setting, multiple teams and geographically dispersed work crews / fronts
- Demonstrated understanding Contract Management process
- Good understanding of statutory requirements, including Health &
- Safety legislation, ability to interpret Company policies, procedures and how these affect / need to be reflected in Project-build and post Project Operations.
- Read / interpret design plans and relate this information to in-field works.

- Exceptional communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing,



verbal and written; building relationships at all levels that are valued and sustainable.
- Proven Safety Leadership through demonstrated Project builds
- Capability to work to strict deadlines, with competing timeframes (priority-based), with high degree of accuracy and decision-making.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, SharePoint, MS Teams, Incident Management systems; user knowledge of Pronto (ERP) or equivalent.
- Proven track record of being able to coach /mentor direct reports / peers, including team development planning.
- Problem-solving structured and systematic approach with enthusiasm, commitment and self-direction.
- Current 'C'
- Class drivers licence and willingness to travel to remote locations across NSW, QLD and PNG
