Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital
We are seeking an experienced Manager Medical Services to join our collaborative leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the experience, development and success of our medical workforce while contributing to the delivery of outstanding healthcare services at one of Western Australia's leading private hospitals.
You will have the opportunity to influence the next generation of medical professionals through education, training and development initiatives, while partnering closely with senior medical leaders, hospital executives and key stakeholders across the organisation.
Reporting to the Deputy Director Medical Services and working closely with the Director Medical Services, you will lead the coordination, administration and ongoing development of the Junior Medical Officer (JMO) workforce.
You will lead and support a high-performing team responsible for ensuring the effective management of medical workforce services across the hospital. This includes overseeing credentialing and scope of practice processes for Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), senior medical practitioners, surgical assistants and other accredited practitioners.
The role also plays a critical part in supporting accreditation requirements, quality and risk management processes, and maintaining strong relationships with clinicians, executives and external stakeholders. Through your leadership, you will help ensure the efficient and smooth operation of medical services, supporting exceptional outcomes for patients, caregivers and medical practitioners alike.
About You
You are an experienced and people-focused leader who thrives in a complex healthcare environment. You are passionate about building strong relationships, fostering positive workplace experiences and partnering with clinicians and leaders to achieve outstanding outcomes.
You will bring significant experience in a medical services, medical workforce or healthcare management role, together with a strong understanding of Junior Medical Officer registration (AHPRA) requirements, medical workforce administration and hospital-based medical education programs. Your demonstrated leadership capability will be complemented by your experience supporting senior executives and medical leadership teams in a fast-paced environment.
You will be a confident communicator with exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence, collaborate and build trust at all levels. You will also possess advanced administrative, financial management, organisational and technology skills, enabling you to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
An Advanced Diploma of Business, or a related qualification, would be highly regarded.

- Salary: $107,232 to $119,107 plus 12% superannuation
