Reporting to the General Manager Transform Logan and Advocacy, you will draw on contemporary local, national and international best practice to address complex urban and economic challenges.

You will be the driving force that shapes the direction, uplifts our capability, that outlines the projects, programs and processes that will make Logan 2075 possible.

This supports Council’s 50-year vision, (Logan 2075), guiding growth, investment and community outcomes for generations to come.

Position responsibilities include:

- Lead, develop and manage the Transform Logan team to coordinate the delivery of the Logan 2075 program, setting explicit expectations around performance, accountability and quality of work.
- Lead the development of documentation including long-term strategy and policy, strategic frameworks, governance structure, options analyses, , submissions, and high-quality reports,
- Build and sustain strong working relationships across all branches of Council, partnering with subject matter experts to align effort, share knowledge and integrate technical, strategic and operational input into the Logan 2075 initiative
- Guide multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure effective coordination, cultural change, clear accountabilities and timely delivery of Logan 2075.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused team culture that values initiative, continuous learning and high-quality delivery.
- Mentor and coach team members to grow their skills and confidence, particularly in project management and strategic communication and engagement.
- Model exceptional leadership capabilities
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with industry, key stakeholders and to progress city outcomes

Key indicators for success:

- A degree qualification in project management, town planning, government policy or similar relevant field of expertise and/or demonstrated substantial knowledge and previous experience.
- Demonstrated experience with transformational and/or city shaping projects with evidence of integrated systems thinking and effective organisational cultural change.
- Significant experience in leading, developing and implementing complex projects and/or programs in challenging environments.
- Demonstrated experience drafting complex policy and strategic documentation, including long-term strategies, vision documents,



policy and strategic frameworks and implementation/action plans.
- Highly developed analytical skills to research and interpret data, identifying trends, emerging issues and strategic risks and their implications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, engage and tailor your communication as required
