The Role An opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Medical Liaison Officer to join our well established and supportive Business Development team.

Ideally based in the Wollongong/Illawarra region, you will play an important role in promoting Carlisle Health’s imaging services, engaging with referrers and supporting the growth of our business.

This role is suited to someone who is confident, organised and enjoys working with healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for building strong referrer engagement while ensuring a high standard of customer service and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, specialists and other referring practitioners.
- Promote Carlisle Health’s imaging services and increase brand awareness.
- Conduct regular face-to-face visits with referrers.
- Identify and onboard new referrers across the local area.
- Support marketing campaigns, referrer meetings, events and presentations.
- Develop opportunities for GP education and engagement.
- Gather referrer feedback and communicate opportunities for service improvement.
- Monitor referral activity and provide basic reporting and analysis.




- Identify referral trends and business development opportunities.
- Set up online PACS access for referrers.
- Coordinate referral pad deliveries.
- Work closely with Carlisle Health’s management, medical, clinical and administrative teams.
- Represent Carlisle Health professionally within the local medical community.

Skills and Experience

- Experience in medical liaison, healthcare business development, medical sales or a similar role.
- An understanding of the Australian healthcare and referral environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence engaging with GPs, specialists and other healthcare professionals.
- Robust customer service and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence presenting to individuals and groups.
- The ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel throughout the Wollongong/Illawarra region.
