Skillforce Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced MEM Boilermaker for an ongoing workshop-based opportunity with a well-established civil construction company based in Cardup.

This role would suit a trade-qualified Boilermaker with strong experience working on heavy mobile plant, earthmoving equipment and structural repairs.

About this role: You will be working within a dedicated workshop team completing maintenance, repairs, rebuilds and fabrication work across a fleet of heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment and civil construction machinery.

Your duties will include

- Heavy fabrication and structural repairs
- Repairs and modifications to mobile earthmoving plant and equipment
- Component and chassis rebuilds
- Bucket and tray repairs
- Body refurbishments
- Installation and replacement of wear plates
- Crack repairs and general structural maintenance
- Cutting and shaping steel using oxy, plasma and air arc gouging equipment
- FCAW, MIG/GMAW and Stick/SMAW welding




- TIG/GTAW welding where required
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Completing repairs and fabrication work to a high standard

About you:
- Australian Recognised Boilermaker / Fabrication Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy equipment structural repairs
- Previous experience working on heavy mobile plant or earthmoving equipment
- Strong heavy fabrication and welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using oxy cutting, plasma cutting and air arc gouging equipment
- Strong FCAW, MIG and Stick welding skills
- Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Experience repairing equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, buckets, trays and other heavy civil plant will be highly regarded.
