Role Description The Merchandise Assistant Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Melbourne, VIC. This position supports the Merchandise Manager in planning and implementing product assortments, ensuring shelves and displays are well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with brand standards. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating stock replenishment, and working closely with store teams to respond to sales trends and customer preferences.

Manager also collaborates with suppliers, assists with promotional planning, reviews sales performance, and provides guidance to team members on product presentation and customer engagement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to support in-store promotions, drive product performance, and respond to market trends.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Management and Assortment skills to plan ranges, manage stock levels, and optimize product mix.
- Experience in retail or merchandising, preferably in toys or consumer goods, is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze sales data, use retail systems, and make informed decisions based on performance metrics.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Availability to work standard retail hours, including weekends and peak trading periods, as required.
