KickAss Products has grown from a successful ecommerce business into a rapidly expanding omnichannel retailer. We now operate 12 stores across Australia, with approximately 100 retail team members and further growth planned.

We are looking for a hands-on national retail leader to improve the performance of our existing network and build the leadership capability required for our next stage of growth.

The opportunity

Reporting directly to our COO, you will lead the Australian retail network through our Area General Managers and Store Managers.

This is a field-led commercial role. You should expect to spend approximately 40-50% of your time in stores across Australia, working directly with our leaders and teams to understand performance, coach improvement and ensure agreed actions are implemented.

You will own retail sales, gross profit, labour productivity and overall network performance. Coaching is central to the role, but commercial judgement and accountability are equally important.

What you will own

- Lead the sales, gross profit, labour productivity and overall performance of our Australian retail network.
- Coach and develop Area General Managers and Store Managers while addressing underperformance directly, fairly and early.
- Identify performance gaps between stores and turn them into practical, measurable improvement plans.
- Build a consistent sales culture based on product knowledge, solution-based selling and excellent customer experiences.
- Establish transparent KPIs, incentives and weekly performance rhythms while developing the next generation of Store Managers and multi-site leaders.
- Improve click & collect, ship-from-store and other omnichannel initiatives while strengthening the feedback loop between our stores, customers and product teams.





A major part of the role will be making our promise to be Australia’s 12V Experts genuine across the network.

We do not believe great retail is about hard selling. Our teams need to understand what customers are trying to achieve, educate them on the right solution and give them the confidence to make the right decision.

What you will bring

You may currently be a State Manager, Regional Manager, National Operations Manager, Head of Retail or another senior multi-site retail leader ready to take ownership of a national network.

We are looking for:

- Demonstrated multi-site retail leadership experience and measurable success improving store performance.
- Strong commercial capability across retail profit and loss, sales, gross profit, labour and productivity.
- The ability to coach leaders while maintaining clear standards and accountability.
- Confidence managing underperformance and making difficult people or commercial decisions when required.
- A field-led leadership style, current driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.
- Experience in an omnichannel retail environment and the ability to learn technical products and translate them into simple customer solutions.

Experience in automotive, 4WD, camping, electrical, tools, hardware or another technical retail category would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

You do not need to arrive as a 12V expert. You do need the aptitude and commitment to become one.
