About Us

We are an Australian-owned, nationally operating company providing specialised end-to-end Building Insurance Repairs.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Sydney. This permanent, full-time role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and contributing to reliable financial reporting across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Month-End

Assist with month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank, debtors, creditors, fixed assets and intercompany accounts Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and management reporting Maintain supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews Support compliance reporting, including BAS, IAS, and payroll tax

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct coding and approvals Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain creditor ageing reports Generate customer invoices and statements Process receipts and allocate payments Monitor overdue accounts and assist with credit control

What We Are Looking For

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed or in progress) 1–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role (preferred)



Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Intermediate Excel and accounting system skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively Progress towards CPA or CA qualification (desirable but not essential)
