About The Opportunity

Based at Galleon Gardens Residential Aged Care home in Currumbin Waters Full Time Permanent, 38 hours per week Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm

As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe environment for residents. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.

Key duties:

Hands-on repairs and maintenance General maintenance; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves Monitor stock levels of consumables and re-order where required Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner Participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service

To be successful, you will have

Experience in maintenance duties, preferably in an aged care environment Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience Current valid drivers' licence Evidence of Australian work rights Current national police check (or willing to obtain) Flu Vaccination (Recommended) A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
