About the Role

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life in a safe, respectful, and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and mobility
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Support residents during exercise, therapy and mealtimes where required
- Participate in writing and following care plans for individual residents
- Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate care documentation
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other allied health staff

Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent




- Previous experience in aged care or a similar care environment (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused attitude
- Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)

Desirable

- Manual handling training
- Basic knowledge of aged care quality standards
- Familiarity with electronic care systems (advantageous but not essential)
