More about the Photography Assistant / Retoucher role at Qantas

We are looking for a passionate photographer assistant to aid our in-house photographer. Primarily the role will focus on post production, retouching and content management. You will be required to interact with customers, edit photographs and retouch final images for use in the market. You may also be required to help our photographer plan, set up and execute photoshoots at various locations.

The right candidate needs to be a fast, quick learner and able to take responsibility for post production and retouching workflow.

Required Skills Include

- Proficient with photo editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One.
- Utilize both your technical and creative skills on a diverse range of imagery. Skills include image compositing, color correcting, extending, clipping and prepping files for final use.

- Maintaining photography files in the asset management system, including appending metadata and accurately labeling images.
- Retouch all images to meet the company brand guidelines & standards of the design teams / clients.
- Facilitate movement and distribution of files between necessary parties and departments.
- Works independently with direction to achieve objectives.




- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Familiarity with professional cameras and lighting equipment.
- Ability to work after hours when needed
