Role Description This is a full time, on-site Plant Maintenance Engineer role based in Perth, WA.

The Plant Maintenance

Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing maintenance activities for fixed plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing equipment issues, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, updating maintenance records, and collaborating with production and reliability teams to minimize downtime. The role also involves conducting inspections, supporting root cause analysis, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Engineer will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage spare parts, maintenance contracts, and technical upgrades.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in plant or heavy industrial maintenance engineering, including planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and tools (e.g., CMMS, SAP PM) and familiarity with reliability-focused practices such as root cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, rotating equipment, and fixed plant assets common in mining or processing operations.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental standards, with a commitment to safe work practices and risk management.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate contractors and service providers.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in the mining, minerals processing, or heavy manufacturing sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to analyze data, prioritize work, and adapt to changing operational requirements in a dynamic site environment.
