The Opportunity

Caritas College is seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher to join our teaching team. This role provides the opportunity to plan and deliver engaging learning programs that respond to students’ needs, support achievement against curriculum standards, and foster safe, positive and inclusive learning environments. Working collaboratively with school leaders, colleagues, parents/caregivers and the broader community, the successful applicant will contribute to the Catholic ethos of the College and support students to grow as capable learners and leaders.

We encourage all applicants; 4th year education students through a Special Authority to Teach (SAT), beginning teachers and experienced teachers who are looking for a change.

Key responsibilities include:

- Plan and deliver comprehensive learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and responsive to the needs of secondary students.
- Use a range of pedagogical approaches, learning technologies and differentiated strategies to support students across the full range of abilities.
- Create and maintain inclusive, orderly and welcoming classroom environments that support student wellbeing, safety and successful learning.
- Assess, monitor and report on student learning using purposeful assessment tasks, accurate records and constructive feedback.
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, families and the wider school community through effective communication and collaboration.




- Meet professional responsibilities, including safeguarding practices, supervision duties, administrative tasks, qualified learning and compliance with relevant school and CESA policies.

We are seeking someone who:

- Holds current Teacher Registration in South Australia (or a willingness to gain a SAT) and has relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience.
- Is committed to upholding and contributing to the culture, values and Catholic ethos of Caritas College.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and can work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Has the ability to differentiate teaching, identify individual learning needs and support students to achieve success.
- Is organised, self-directed and able to use initiative and professional judgement to meet role requirements and timelines.
- Uses ICT effectively, or is willing and able to quickly learn required systems and programs.
