Veris is changing the way skilled services are delivered, with digital, data and spatial intelligence at the heart of our transformation. We are looking for a Principal Planner to join our Brisbane Advisory team and help shape what this means for planning.

This is an opportunity for an experienced statutory planner who wants to do more than traditional planning work. You will bring your technical expertise, client relationships and work-winning capability, while working alongside specialists across planning, surveying, spatial, digital and technical disciplines to deliver better outcomes for clients.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

- Leading complex statutory planning projects and providing trusted client advice.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Developing and winning work through proposals, tenders and direct client engagement.
- Using Veris’ digital, data and spatial capabilities to challenge traditional planning models, identify new markets, develop differentiated client solutions and drive significant growth.
- Managing projects commercially, including scope, budgets, timelines and delivery.




- Building Veris’ presence and client base across Brisbane and Queensland.
- Leading and developing emerging planning professionals.
- Contributing to the continued growth and evolution of our Consulting & Advisory business.

About You

You will bring

- 10+ years’ experience in statutory planning within a consulting/advisory environment.
- Strong technical capability across complex development and infrastructure projects.
- A proven ability to build relationships, develop opportunities and win work.
- An established network across the Brisbane property, development, infrastructure and government sectors.
- Strong commercial and client-facing skills.
- A genuine interest in how data, digital and spatial technology can transform planning and professional services.
- The ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and lead high-performing teams.
- A desire to challenge traditional approaches, explore new markets and help shape the future of planning.
