Project Coordinator – Technology
We're seeking a Project Coordinator to support the end-to-end delivery of a major technology program within a WA State Government agency. This is a great opportunity for a coordination-focused professional to work across a large-scale technology delivery environment, managing governance, financials, and stakeholder engagement on a high-visibility digital transformation program.
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- Initial 11-month contract, with extension option
- $650 a day + GST
- 5 days onsite – Perth CBD
- Exposure to a large-scale technology program within a State Government environment
THE ROLE:
Working closely with program managers and technical leads, you will coordinate project activities and support governance across multiple complex technology workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities, schedules, and deliverables across multiple complex technology workstreams
- Monitor, track, and support the mitigation of project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
- Manage project financial administration, including budgeting, forecasting, and vendor timesheet processing
- Maintain project governance and documentation using Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tools
- Facilitate project board meetings and provide secretariat services for governance forums and workshops
- Prepare and maintain project reports, board packs, change records, and lessons learned documentation
- Support program managers and technical leads to ensure alignment with enterprise delivery frameworks
THE COMPANY:
A WA State Government agency delivering a major technology program alongside a broader modernisation initiative, seeking a Project Coordinator to support governance, coordination, and delivery across the program.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator on large-scale IT and application delivery projects (budgets >$2M).
- Strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles (experience coordinating Azure, .NET, or React projects is highly advantageous).
- Proven capability in managing project financials, scheduling, and risk tracking.
- Experience utilizing Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tools and adhering to strict enterprise governance processes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to advise, influence, and coordinate cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Previous experience within a government, justice, or law enforcement setting is highly desirable.
- Essential: Ability to pass and maintain a strict high-level Police Integrity Check and National Police Clearance.
