We’re looking for an experienced Project Quality Engineer to play a key role in bringing engineering projects successfully from design through sourcing and into production.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail—working across engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to identify risk, solve problems and ensure quality is built into both the product and the process.

What you’ll own

- Project Quality – Develop Project Quality Plans and own quality gate sign-off, ensuring critical deliverables and risks are managed throughout the project lifecycle.

- Quality by Design – Work alongside Engineering on DFMEA, DFM, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans and process development, translating critical product characteristics into robust manufacturing controls.

- Supplier Quality – Support supplier selection and qualification, conduct audits and assessments, and work with our Asia Sourcing team and suppliers to achieve successful PPAP and production readiness.

- Inspection & Validation – Get hands-on with prototype, incoming and manufactured product verification, metrology, testing and data analysis.

- Problem Solving – Lead root cause analysis and CAPA, tackling non-conformances and preventing repeat issues using structured quality tools.

- Continuous Improvement – Use quality data, SPC and Lean principles to reduce risk, improve processes and drive down the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with 3–5 years’ Quality Engineering experience, ideally within automotive or a similar manufacturing setting,

Must haves:





- Formal Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering qualifications (Bachelor or equivalent)

- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and/or IATF 16949

- Experience applying AIAG Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.

- Confidence reading engineering drawings, specifications and applying metrology.

- Experience translating CC, SC, CTQ and PTC characteristics from drawings and DFMEA through Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans and work instructions—and into the supply chain.

- Ability to conduct system, process, product and supplier audits.

- Experience supporting suppliers through PPAP, pilot builds and production launch.

- Exposure to metal fabrication, laser cutting and manual/robotic welding will be highly regarded.

- Lean, Six Sigma or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) credentials are a bonus.

- Hands on experience assembling and fitting automotive parts combined with general workshop tool use
