Quality in aged care isn't just about passing an audit. It's about making sure every resident receives safe, consistent and genuinely person-centred care — every shift, every day. If that's what gets you out of bed in the morning, read on.

Mayflower is looking for an experienced Quality Business Partner to join our Quality, Risk and Compliance team. This is a hands-on, relationship-first role — you'll spend as much time working alongside care teams and operational leaders as you will on documentation and reporting. We want someone who can look at a non-compliance and see not just a finding, but an opportunity to make things better.

About Mayflower

We're a not-for-profit aged care provider that has been caring for older Australians for over 60 years. We're not a large corporate — we're a values-led organisation where the people doing the work are genuinely known and valued. Our commitment is simple: Care without Compromise.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Quality, Risk and Compliance, you'll lead continuous improvement and compliance activities across Mayflower's aged care homes and home care services. That means supporting managers with accreditation readiness, running internal audits, managing complaints and incidents, keeping policies current and translating quality data into practical action that makes a real difference on the floor.

You'll also work alongside our IPC leads on outbreak management,

contribute to the National Quality Indicator Program and help build a genuine culture of continuous improvement across the organisation — not just a compliance function that people work around.

About You

You are a clinically credible, practically minded quality professional. You know your way around the Aged Care Quality Standards, you've been through an accreditation cycle and you understand that the best quality outcomes come from good relationships, not good spreadsheets.

You'll need current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse, at least three years in a quality or compliance role within aged care, a strong analytical mind and the interpersonal skills to influence without authority. A current driver's licence and Police Check are also required.

Experience in Infection Prevention and Control, formal quality management training or a postgraduate qualification are all a bonus — but not a dealbreaker if everything else is right.

Why Mayflower

Genuinely — because the work matters and you'll be trusted to do it properly. You'll work closely with a supportive executive team, have real influence across three sites and be part of an organisation that takes quality seriously rather than treating it as a tick-box exercise. NFP salary packaging is available and will meaningfully increase your take-home pay.

To Apply

Send your resume and a cover letter to [email protected] by 26 August 2026.

Mayflower is committed to a workplace that is protected, inclusive and welcoming for everyone.
