Northern Beaches Hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, a state-of-the-art theatre complex, world-class education centre, and excellent staff facilities including café and secure on site car parking.

Our state of the art Recovery ward is seeking Registered Nurses with a keen interest in providing outstanding nursing care throughout the perioperative journey of patients undergoing general anaesthesia.

The Interventional

Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery.



It comprises of 14 state of the art operating theatres including a Hybrid theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs, 4 procedure rooms, 41 bed recovery unit, Anaesthetics Service and state of the art Sterilising Services Department. The service currently operates 7 days, 06:00 to 21:00hrs. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
3. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
4. A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
5. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
6. An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
