The Position Registered Nurse Casual The role will provide direct nursing care and continuous assessment to patients in a community or hospital in the home setting. This care includes identifying, evaluating and implementing all necessary nursing interventions and providing primary health care, including patient and family education & support. Nurses will use their clinical skills and personal attributes to ensure the optimal recovery of patients.

- Interview and examine the patient, documenting the assessment findings.
- Whilst promoting an workplace of confidence, confidentiality and respect, identify through discussion with the patient, family and relevant others, actual and potential problems.
- Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient.
- Make relevant referrals as necessary.
- Assess the occupational health and safety needs in the home,



and organize occupational therapy assessment to improve safety if necessary.
- Arrange allied health and other services as required to provide for occupational health and safety requirements.
- Routinely monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.
- Assist in the assessing of complicated nursing problems guiding Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates, Nursing Students and Nursing Attendants as needed.
