Role details The Nursing Services at the Bowen Hospital is seeking applications for a Registered Nurse (Telehealth) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity The Bowen Telehealth Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing services within Telehealth service settings; and demonstrates competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care.

The Bowen Telehealth RN is responsible for providing patient support during Telehealth consults, and conducting clinical work-ups and follow-ups for Telehealth outpatient services. The RN will assist in coordinating patient access to diagnostic services and associated reporting services in a timely manner.

Telehealth RN will collate patient information, including test results, and upload for Specialist review ensuring timely access to high value outpatient specialist services.

Telehealth nurse provides support to other nursing staff within the Bowen Hospital and the CN of Telehealth.

The Bowen Telehealth Registered nurse will be responsible for assisting the CN with the coordination,



support and management of processes involved in managing telehealth service development and delivery across the Bowen Hospital. The role will encourage and support tele-health approaches as part of everyday practice in a range of clinical areas and settings.

About The Team The Bowen health service offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. These services are co-located on the Gregory St site. The hospital is a 19 bed acute hospital with an Emergency Department and outpatient's department, both of which offers a range of health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.

Service covers the Bowen area including North to Guthalungra and South to Eden Lassie Creek and inland to the Collinsville range.

Telehealth enables live clinical interactions, clinical practice and patient management supported by a wide range of communication, collaboration and cognitive computing technologies along with digital devices and data.
