About the role As a Reverse Mortgage Broker, you’ll manage a pipeline of warm enquiries and guide clients through the end-to-end lending process, from initial conversation through to settlement. This isn’t a transactional sales role. You’ll be working with an older demographic, so success comes from patience, trust-building, and doing the right thing.
You Will
- Manage and convert a steady flow of inbound leads
- Educate clients on reverse mortgage products and suitability
- Prepare and submit credit proposals
- Assess financial documents, including bank statements
- Identify and manage risks (e.g. vulnerability, elder abuse, gambling)
- Maintain compliance with responsible lending obligations
- Provide ongoing communication and support throughout the process
About you You’re a confident financial services qualified who combines sales ability with empathy and strong ethics.
We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in financial services and/or sales
- Strong understanding of responsible lending principles
- Experience preparing credit proposals and handling applications end-to-end
- Excellent communication skills (phone + written)
- A patient, consultative approach with older customers
- High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital tools
Desirable
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking
