– Run Engineer

Position Summary The Run Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational support, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Testing Tools, Quality Platforms (QEP), and Automation services. The role works closely with the Run Owner, engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure platform stability, timely incident resolution, successful change implementation, and efficient service delivery.

The Run Engineer is expected to have a good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, incident management processes, and Jira-based work management to support the BAU operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide operational support for Testing Tools, QEP, and AI platforms, ensuring service availability and stability.
- Monitor platform health, system performance, and service dashboards, proactively identifying and addressing issues.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational issues within agreed SLAs.
- Participate in major incident management activities, including diagnosis, restoration, stakeholder communication, and post-incident reviews.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to minimize recurring incidents.
- Manage and track incidents, problems, service requests, and tasks through Jira and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Support platform upgrades, patching, configuration changes, deployments, and release activities.




- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, cloud, security, and vendor teams to resolve technical issues and improve service reliability.
- Support onboarding of recent applications, tools, and users onto supported platforms.
- Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, support procedures, and technical runbooks.
- Monitor capacity, utilization, and performance trends and recommend improvements where required.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide regular updates on ticket status, risks, issues, and service performance to the Run Owner and stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, etc.).
- Experience with Jira and Agile ways of working.
- Knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes (SNOW).
- Troubleshooting, Service monitoring, knowledge management, risk identification and escalaltion management.
- Exposure to Testing Tools, Quality Engineering platforms, or automation is added advantage.
- Understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, integrations, and automation concepts.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
