SDN Paddington is looking for a strong Diploma-qualified Senior Educator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week across five days. Initially, this role will be a floating position supporting all rooms, providing programming support, lunch cover and assistance across the service as required with the potential to transition into a permanent room with fixed shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior educator (Diploma qualified) who enjoys variety, building relationships across the centre and supporting educators to deliver high-quality early learning outcomes. Working alongside a fun and collaborative team, you will contribute to creating safe, inclusive and engaging environments where children and families feel valued and supported

This role offers both variety and stability for the right educator.

About The Role

This will include

- Support educators across all age groups by providing programming support, lunch cover and assistance with daily operations
- Potential to transition into a permanent room with fixed shifts
- Deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the EYLF and NQS
- Drive observation, documentation, and reflective practices to enhance children’s learning outcomes
- Develop meaningful relationships with children and families across the centre
- Create protected, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environments that support all areas of child development
- Support daily operations, routines, and wellbeing practices, including guiding children’s care and development needs
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and child safety standards
- Contributing to a collaborative, inclusive,



and high-performing team culture

About You You will have experience and skills in the following:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Child protection training and commitment to child safety
- Current NSW Working with Children Check and current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
- Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills with a commitment to child safety
