This is a junior position in the Industrial Team at HSUWA. You will be a part of the team providing industrial advice to union members and representing members in a range of settings including collective bargaining. You will also be responsible for contributing to strategies to improve the rights and interests of healthcare workers across Western Australia.
What you'll be doing
- Providing advice and support on a range of industrial relations and employment matters
- Conducting collective agreement negotiations
- Preparing and presenting matters before industrial tribunals
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support the development of union strategies
- Collaborating with the union's organising teams to ensure the effective representation of member interests
- Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and case law
- Contributing to the continuous growth of the union
What we're looking for
- Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, industrial relations or similar
- A keen interest in industrial relations and employment
- Excellent legal research and analytical skills
- Quality written and verbal communication abilities
- A collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- A flexible and collaborative working style
- A commitment to social justice and the values of trade unions
