As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Tax & Accounting team and play a key role in supporting our diverse portfolio of SME and private business clients.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a public practice accountant looking to further develop their technical expertise while gaining exposure to client advisory work and mentoring opportunities.
Working closely with Managers and Directors, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality tax, compliance and business advisory services while building strong client relationships. Based on the Assistant Manager position description, the role supports tax and compliance delivery, reviews work, assists with client portfolio management, and contributes to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, BAS and IAS.
- Deliver high-quality tax and compliance services to SME clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support tax planning and business advisory engagements.
- Review workpapers and ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Managers and Directors to deliver exceptional client outcomes
About You To be successful, you'll bring:
- 4+ years' experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Statements, Income Tax, BAS, IAS and FBT.
- Experience using Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
- A proactive mindset and passion for delivering outstanding client service.
