About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Senior Supervisor – Match-Cast to join our team in Rockhampton, Central Queensland.
This is a key site based role supporting the delivery of the Fitzroy River Bridge, part of the Rockhampton Ring Road project. The 435 metres, four lane bridge will be constructed using a balanced cantilever segmented box girder methodology. VSL’s scope includes the casting and erection of 312 match-cast segments.
The Senior Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day to day match-cast production across three casting cells, ensuring safe, efficient and high quality delivery.
Location: Rockhampton, Central Queensland, Australia.
Your Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate match-cast segment production across three casting cells.
- Lead and coordinate site teams to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Ensure production meets project specifications, quality requirements and approved methodologies.
- Coordinate with engineering,
quality and HSE teams to resolve technical and production issues.
- Ensure compliance with VSL and project health and safety requirements.
Your role will see you:
- Assemble temporary jigs for reinforcement cages.
- Assemble and commission match-cast moulds.
- Supervise the production of match-cast segments in accordance with Queensland TMR specifications.
- Monitor quality, dimensional accuracy and production tolerances.
Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years’ experience in civil precast operations, including 4+ years’ experience in segmental match-casting or equivalent complex precast operations.
- Proven experience supervising teams in a construction or precast environment.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of quality requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Current Australian driver’s license and White Card.
