AWX Executive is proud to be partnering with a leading global provider of industrial process and water treatment solutions to recruit a Service Technician servicing customers across the Launceston, Devonport and Burnie regions. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded and customer-focused professional who enjoys troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and working independently in the field. You will play a critical role in supporting customer operations through equipment maintenance, process testing, chemical management, and technical service delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal system performance at customer sites while delivering exceptional technical support and service.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical Service & Process Monitoring
- Conduct routine sampling and testing of process systems
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities for optimisation
- Investigate, troubleshoot and rectify operational issues
- Support customer trials and provide technical recommendations
- Maintain accurate testing and monitoring records
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
- Inspect, clean and maintain chemical dosing and monitoring equipment
- Carry out basic repairs, recalibrations and equipment adjustments
- Undertake manual dosing activities when required
- Identify and report equipment faults, leaks and site issues
- Ensure systems operate efficiently and within design parameters
Inventory & Administration
- Monitor and manage chemical stock levels
- Coordinate stock ordering requirements
- Complete service reports and compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate site records and performance data
Safety & Customer Support
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety and environmental standards
- Follow customer site procedures and compliance requirements
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve operational outcomes
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, customer-focused approach
- Willingness to travel throughout the region
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments
Highly Regarded
- Trade qualification or technical certification
- Chemistry or science-related qualifications
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial processing, food & beverage, water treatment, paper, or related industries
- Experience with dosing, pumping or monitoring equipment
- Working at heights experience
