About the role

We are seeking a talented Cook to join the kitchen team at Market Street Cafe in Wangi Wangi, NSW. This is a casual position that could lead to partime/fulltime for the right person . You will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals that delight our members and guests, working as part of team to maintain our reputation for excellent food and service. Experience preferred however if you have an interest in cooking, a fast learner and can work under pressure please feel free to apply.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing, cooking and plating dishes at quality standards

- Managing food preparation stations and ensuring kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained

- Working efficiently during service periods to meet kitchen demands and delivery times

- Handling ingredients responsibly and adhering to food safety protocols and legislation

- Maintaining stock levels and assisting with inventory management where required

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Cook in a hospitality preferred

- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and relevant legislation

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage multiple tasks

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of kitchen work,



including standing for extended periods

- Flexibility and reliability for casual shift work, including weekends

- A passion for delivering quality food and providing excellent member experiences

- Food and Safety Food handling certificate required (Can be obtained upon employment)
