Spectrum Surface Treatment is looking for an experienced Abrasive Blaster to join our growing team.

We are a busy industrial blasting and protective coatings company working across the mining, infrastructure, structural steel and industrial sectors.

We’re looking for someone who can work efficiently, maintain a high standard of surface preparation and contribute to a productive workshop team.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Abrasive blasting of structural steel and industrial equipment

- Blasting to specified standards, including Sa 2.5, Sa 3

- Achieving specified surface profiles

- Preparing steel for protective coating application

- Checking completed work for cleanliness and quality

- Masking and protecting areas where required

- Operating blasting equipment safely and efficiently

- General maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment

- Moving and positioning steel for blasting & painting

- Maintaining a clean and safe work area

- Working with supervisors, painters and QA personnel to keep jobs moving through production

- Unloading and loading trucks as required

About You

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous abrasive blasting experience





- Experience working with structural steel or industrial equipment

- Good understanding of blast cleanliness standards and surface preparation

- Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality

- Strong safety awareness

- Good reliability and attendance

- Ability to work as part of a fast-paced production team

- Forklift and/or dogging/rigging tickets are advantageous
