We are seeking experienced Project Poly Welders to join our FIFO operations across the Goldfields and Pilbara regions of Western Australia.

This is a hands-on, senior site role with a strong focus on complex, large-diameter and critical HDPE pipeline installations. You will lead and execute advanced poly welding activities, support quality and compliance on site, and provide dewatering support where required.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Complete certified HDPE poly welding works across mining and construction sites

- Perform butt fusion, electrofusion and extrusion welding to approved standards

- Assist with pipeline installation, tie-ins, bell holes and large-diameter HDPE works

- Set up, operate and maintain McElroy and Dixon poly welding equipment





- Complete inspections, testing and defect rectification as required

- Assist with hydrostatic testing and commissioning activities

- Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications

- Assist with dewatering system installation, setup, monitoring and maintenance

- Maintain accurate welding, testing and project documentation

- Follow site safety procedures and participate in toolbox meetings and risk assessments

- Maintain equipment, tools and work areas to a high standard

- Work collaboratively with supervisors, project teams and other trades to meet project targets

- High-quality HDPE welds completed to specification

- Safe and efficient completion of project work

- Minimal rework and strong attention to detail

- Equipment and work areas maintained to a high standard

- Accurate project and welding documentation

- Positive contribution to the site crew and overall project outcomes

About You

You are an experienced poly welder who takes ownership of quality and safety on site. You are comfortable working FIFO, leading by example, and operating independently within a small crew.

Essential requirements:

- Certified HDPE Poly Welding qualification – Butt Fusion & Electrofusion

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a poly welder in mining or construction





- Experience using McElroy and/or Dixon welding equipment

- High Risk Work Licence – WP, LF, DG and RB

- Chainsaw and Telehandler licences

- Construction White Card

- Working at Heights certification

- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (MR or higher preferred)

- Ability to work FIFO from Perth on a 2:1 roster

Highly regarded:

- Excavator, IT Loader or Crane (C6) competency

- Confined Spaces certification

- Senior First Aid

- Previous experience with dewatering systems

- Experience working on large-diameter HDPE pipelines

- Mining or major infrastructure project experience
