About the Role:
The Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge for a career as a Mechanical Engineering tradesperson. You will learn a variety of skills including the design, manufacture, installation, modification, testing, maintenance and service of mechanical equipment.
This is a full time fixed term apprenticeship program suited for school leavers. You will undertake formal studies at TAFE whilst being guided by professionals starting in January 2027

Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be an Australian citizen and or permanent resident
- Demonstrated dedication to learning and education
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in the trade
- Has a positive attitude to working in a protected and productive manner
The Process:
As part of One Rail Australia's recruitment and selection process, short listed applicants will be required to undertake required pre-employment checks and testing, inclusive but not limited to:
- Provide a recent national criminal history check
- Provide a Current Provisional Licence (C Class)
- Undertake a Category 2 Rail Medical
- Reference checks
- Aptitude testing
