This role plays an important part in supporting project teams, maintaining compliance requirements, and ensuring the smooth operation of the business.
About The Role
You'll be responsible for
- Performing on-site welding and fabrication works
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings and engineering plans
- Installing and modifying structural steel, handrails, balustrades, stairs and other metalwork
- Carrying out MIG, TIG and Stick welding to a high standard
- Operating fabrication equipment and power tools safely and efficiently
- Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications
- Maintaining a safe, organised and compliant work environment
- Working collaboratively within a strong team environment
- Assisting with general construction and site works as required
About You To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication, Boilermaking, Welding or similar
- Proven experience in site welding and steel fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Current White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Regarded
- Working at Heights certification
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket
- Forklift license
- Structural steel installation experience
- First Aid certification
